Seat Belt Maker Loses Bid For Removal

Law360, New York (November 20, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- The Supreme Court of Alabama has denied a Korean manufacturer’s bid to be removed from a product liability lawsuit about a fatal car crash in which the victim was wearing an allegedly faulty seat belt produced by the company.

Alabama’s highest court denied Duck Boo International’s motion to dismiss on Friday. The court rejected the argument the company's argument that a lack of personal jurisdiction necessitated its removal from the case.
