Allergan Sues To Stop Generic Eyelash-Growth Drug

Law360, Los Angeles (January 9, 2013, 4:07 PM EST) -- Allergan Inc. sued a group of generics makers including Apotex Inc. and Sandoz Inc. in North Carolina federal court Tuesday as part of its ongoing effort to stop them from marketing their own versions of its popular eyelash growth stimulant Latisse.

Tuesday’s suit is the latest in a string of attacks Allergan launched against Apotex, Sandoz, Hi-Tech Pharmacal Co. Inc. and Watson Pharmaceuticals Inc. after they sought Food and Drug Administration approval to make and sell a 0.03% bimatoprost topical solution, a generic version of Latisse,...
