Mitsui Buys Half Of $400M Mexico Wind Farm From EDF Unit

Law360, New York (January 9, 2013, 6:44 PM EST) -- Japanese trading firm Mitsui & Co. Ltd. has agreed to acquire a 50 percent stake in the owner of a 5.1 billion Mexican peso (US$400 million) wind project from a renewables subsidiary of French power company Electricite de France SA, Mitsui said Wednesday.

Mitsui said it had acquired the stake in Eoliatec del Istmo SAPI de CV, which owns the Bii Stinu Wind Project in Oaxaca, Mexico. The Japanese trader will have a joint 50-50 ownership of the project with EDF EN Mexico S de RL...
