$900M DigitalGlobe-GeoEye Merger Earns Antitrust Nod

Law360, Los Angeles (January 9, 2013, 6:11 PM EST) -- Longmont, Colo.-based DigitalGlobe Inc. has received antitrust clearance by the U.S. Department of Justice for its $900 million buyout of fellow satellite imagery company GeoEye Inc. after a three-month probe, DigitalGlobe Inc. announced Wednesday.

The DOJ’s approval removes a roadblock from the planned Jan. 31 merger of the two geospatial imaging firms, pending approval from the Federal Communications Commission and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, DigitalGlobe said Wednesday.
