ViroPharma Denied Block On Generic Vancocin Approval

Law360, New York (January 9, 2013, 5:54 PM EST) -- A Washington federal judge on Wednesday ended ViroPharma Inc.'s bid to cancel the U.S. Food and Drug Administration's approval of generic versions of antibiotic Vancocin and extend its exclusive rights to the drug, saying the FDA had acted properly in approving the generics.
