SEC Closes Investigation With No Action, Deere Says

Law360, New York (January 10, 2013, 7:01 PM EST) -- Deere & Co. said Thursday that the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission won't take any enforcement action after concluding a probe into the farm equipment giant, more than a year after media reports first said it faced an inquiry focused on possible violations of anti-bribery laws.

Moline, Ill.-based Deere said it had received a letter from the SEC enforcement division staff that said an investigation into the company's foreign business practices had been wrapped up and that the agency did not plan to pursue any enforcement...
