Applied's Discovery Plea Denied In Trade Secrets Suit

Law360 (November 20, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- A federal judge on Monday refused to expedite discovery in an ongoing trade secrets case between semiconductor maker Applied Materials Inc. and its Chinese rival Advanced Micro-Fabrication Equipment Co. Ltd.

The case, first filed in mid-October, alleges that certain former employees of Applied went to China to start a new company, taking several of Applied’s trade secrets with them.
