Seeking Insurance Coverage For FDA Inspections Under FSMA

Law360, New York (January 30, 2013, 12:51 PM EST) -- On Jan. 4, 2013, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration proposed two rules to implement the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA), a law passed by Congress in 2011 designed to prevent food-borne illness nationwide.  These rules will be subject to a 120-day public comment period before they can take effect, and they would affect nearly every company in the nation that grows, packs, stores or manufactures food for human consumption.
