Gerdes Infringed One Stant Patent, Not Willfully: Court

Law360 (November 21, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- An appeals court has ruled that Gerdes GmbH is not infringing any valid patents held by Stant Manufacturing Inc. with its fuel caps, though the court ruled that an earlier fuel cap sold by the company had infringed one patent, and upheld a district court’s award of just over $1 million for Stant.
