British Gov't Won't Call For Arctic Oil-Drilling Halt

Law360, New York (January 15, 2013, 5:30 PM EST) -- The British government on Tuesday rejected the call of several lawmakers to back a halt on oil and gas drilling in the Arctic, despite safety concerns following the recent grounding of a Royal Dutch Shell PLC rig, saying improved protection efforts would be more effective than a ban.
