GOP Bill Seeks To Slash Energy Tax Credits

Law360, New York (January 15, 2013, 9:08 PM EST) -- A House Republican on Tuesday renewed a bid to kill more than a dozen financial incentives the federal government offers the energy industry, including tax credits for oil and gas production and wind energy development.

Rep. Mike Pompeo, R-Kan., reintroduced the Energy Freedom and Economic Prosperity Act, a bill that would eliminate the suite of tax measures regularly used by fossil fuels companies and renewable energy developers, while maintaining some business deductions.
