MBK Puts Up $520M For Chunk Of Korean Outdoor Co.

Law360, New York (January 16, 2013, 7:37 PM EST) -- Korean private equity firm MBK Partners has agreed to pay 550 billion won ($519.7 million) for a majority stake in NEPA Co. Ltd., the country's top outdoor apparel and equipment maker, according to reports out of Korea on Wednesday.

The Asia-focused private equity house plans to shell out for an additional 30 percent slice of NEPA in the near future, which would bring the total purchase price to 900 billion won, several Korean news outlets — including Korea Economic Daily and the Financial News — reported...
