Mitsubishi Puts Up $765M For Piece Of Offshore Wind Effort

Law360, New York (January 16, 2013, 3:36 PM EST) -- Japanese conglomerate Mitsubishi Corp. will pour €576 million ($765 million) into two of TenneT Holding BV's offshore wind projects in Germany, TenneT said Wednesday, an investment that will give a much-needed push to the country's plans for a major shift to renewable power over the next decade.

Under the deal's terms, Mitsubishi will pay €240 million to take a 49 percent stake in two power grid links for offshore wind farms, plus another €336 million for a 49 percent interest in another two offshore grid connections....
