Popular Courtroom Devices Recalled For Fire Hazard

Law360, New York (November 26, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- Elmo USA Corp. is recalling 54,000 image presenters that are frequently used in courtrooms and classrooms after improperly installed fluorescent lights led to smoke and fire incidents in Japan.

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission and Elmo announced last week the voluntary recall of visual presenters manufactured and sold in the U.S. after discovering that the fluorescent top lights in the presenters could overheat and pose a fire hazard.
