Gun Insurance Could Be Required In Mass. Under New Bill

Law360, New York (January 18, 2013, 4:30 PM EST) -- A Massachusetts state representative on Friday proposed requiring gun owners to buy liability insurance, part of a broader legislative package aimed at curbing gun violence.

About a month after the Sandy Hook, Conn., elementary school shooting reignited the gun control debate, state Rep. David Linsky, D-Natick, introduced a bill that would require proof of liability insurance for possession of a firearm, rifle or shotgun.
