ITC Takes On “Anti-Terror” Small Pox Vaccine Patent Dispute

Law360, New York (September 22, 2005, 12:00 AM EDT) -- With millions of dollars in government anti-terror funds at stake, the International Trade Commission has launched an investigation into small-pox vaccine patent infringement alleged by Danish biopharmaceutical firm Bavarian-Nordic.

Bavarian Nordic accused U.K.-based Acambis Inc. in August of patent infringement and misappropriation of trade secrets, filing its complaint with the ITC and in the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware.
