NAIC Names Retired Neb. Senator As Its New CEO

Law360, New York (January 22, 2013, 3:20 PM EST) -- A recently retired Democratic U.S. senator and former Nebraska governor will take over as the CEO of the National Association of Insurance Commissioners, the group said Tuesday.

The NAIC has named Ben Nelson as its primary advocate and chief spokesperson in Washington, D.C. Nelson takes the reins from Acting CEO Andrew Beal, who goes back to his role as the NAIC's chief operating officer and chief legal officer.
