Injunction Deals Another Blow To Stryker

Law360, New York (November 26, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- Two weeks after the U.S. Supreme Court declined to hear Stryker Corporation’s appeal, a federal judge has banned the medical device maker from selling the products that were found to infringe on an Acumed patent related to a bone fracture treatment.

On Wednesday, U.S. District Judge Anna Brown issued a permanent injunction against Stryker, a further blow in the wake of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit’s affirmation of the earlier willful infringement finding against the Michigan-based medical technology giant.
