Biomedino Denied Cert In Blood-Cleaning Patent Suit

Law360, New York (November 27, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- The Supreme Court will not take up Biomedino LLC’s infringement case over the biotech company’s blood-cleaning patent that was invalidated by an appeals court in June.

Biomedino had sought the High Court’s input on its suit against Waters Corp., Agilent Technologies Inc. and General Electric Co. after the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit scrapped its patent covering a method for cleaning drugs out of blood on the grounds that it did not disclose the structure of a crucial valve.
