BLM Flubbed Analysis Of Gasco Natural Gas Project, Suit Says

Law360, New York (January 23, 2013, 3:37 PM EST) -- Several environmental groups sued the U.S. Department of the Interior's Bureau of Land Management in Utah federal court Friday, claiming the bureau failed to properly conduct an environmental analysis before granting a permit to a major Gasco Energy Inc. natural gas development project.

The Southern Utah Wilderness Alliance, Natural Resources Defense Council, Wilderness Society and Sierra Club claim the BLM approved Gasco’s proposed Uinta Basin natural gas development project without adequately considering its full environmental impact, in violation of the National Environmental Policy Act.
