Gov. Scott's Business Tax Break Filed in Fla. House

Law360, Miami (January 24, 2013, 9:15 PM EST) -- Florida's corporate income tax exemption could be on the rise again under a bill filed Tuesday in the Florida House of Representatives, furthering one of the main economic initiatives of Gov. Rick Scott.

The governor said another 2,000 small businesses would not have to pay income tax if the exemption is raised to $75,000 from $50,000, as proposed in House Bill 401 by state Rep. Ross Spano, a Republican from Hillsborough County.
