Highmark Wants UPMC To Return Docs From West Penn Row

Law360, New York (January 23, 2013, 7:16 PM EST) -- Highmark Inc. asked a Pennsylvania judge Wednesday to compel the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center to return documents it obtained from Highmark's ongoing litigation with West Penn Allegheny Health System Inc., saying UPMC “engineered backdoor access” to get the information.

The insurer alleges UPMC received at least 138 highly sensitive, confidential and trade secret documents, including at least 19 submitted under seal, and knew or should have known the documents weren't intended to be seen because they weren't admitted to the injunction hearing where they were...
