Ex-SEC General Counsel Rejoins Baker & McKenzie

Law360, New York (January 24, 2013, 6:35 PM EST) -- The longest-serving general counsel of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and a founding board member of the  Public Company Accounting Oversight Board has returned to Baker & McKenzie LLP as partner to advise clients on global corporate, securities and banking compliance, the firm announced Thursday.

Daniel Goelzer joins the firm’s Washington offices after stepping down from the PCAOB board in March. He told Law360 that Baker & McKenzie’s global footprint has always made it appealing to his professional interests.
