TPG Buys, Merges ConvergEx Investment Software Cos.

Law360, New York (January 24, 2013, 7:06 PM EST) -- TPG Capital has beefed up its tech portfolio with the acquisition of two investment management software systems from private equity-backed ConvergEx Holdings LLC that will merge, then gobble up Tradar Ltd., which makes portfolio management software, the parties announced Wednesday.

The deal gives Texas-based TPG control of ConvergEx's Eze Castle Software LLC, which makes order management systems that track and organize investments, and RealTick LLC, a multibroker electronic trading platform, according to ConvergEx and Eze Castle.
