Ecuador Lawyers Lose Bid To Sidestep Sanctions

Law360, New York (November 27, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- A federal judge has knocked down an attempt to reconsider sanctions slapped on two attorneys representing plaintiffs who falsely claimed they developed cancer due to Chevron's alleged illegal dumping of toxic waste in the Ecuadorian rain forest.
