FERC Nixes Dominion's Suit Over PJM Dispatch Practice

Law360, Washington (January 29, 2013, 6:39 PM EST) -- The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission on Monday tossed Dominion Resources Services Inc.'s challenge to PJM Interconnection LLC's generation dispatch practice, concluding that PJM's tariff provision revisions have resolved the dispute.

In its order dismissing the case, FERC said that PJM had revised its cost allocation processes for the day-ahead market, which were at issue because they allegedly raised costs on load-serving market participants. In the revised system, only certain costs can be carried over to day-ahead market when they have been shifted for identified reliability reasons....
