Pa. District Court Poised To See 1st Female Chief Judge

Law360, New York (January 30, 2013, 3:59 PM EST) -- The U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania will have its first female chief judge when U.S. District Judge Petrese Tucker assumes the court's top spot following Chief Judge J. Curtis Joyner's planned springtime departure, a staffer for Judge Tucker said Wednesday.

Due to her seniority status, Judge Tucker will assume Judge Joyner's position when he steps down, the staffer said. A staffer for Judge Joyner said the chief judge will assume senior status once he steps down, which is scheduled for May 1....
