Copyright Office Taps Ex-Music Biz Atty As Associate Register

Law360, New York (January 31, 2013, 7:42 PM EST) -- A former U.S. Department of Justice attorney who also spent nearly five years working for the Recording Industry Association of America has been appointed as the U.S. Copyright Office's Associate Register of Copyrights and Director of Policy and International Affairs, the copyright office said Wednesday.

Karyn Temple Claggett had been serving as senior counsel for policy and international affairs at the copyright office, which is part of the Library of Congress, since March 2011.
