Pa. DEP Tightens Emissions For Gas Compressor Stations

Law360, New York (February 1, 2013, 1:44 PM EST) -- The Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection on Thursday said it finalized revisions to an air quality permit that will impose emissions limits up to 90 percent stricter than current standards for natural gas compressor stations.

The revisions will impose limits that are 75 to 90 percent stricter than currently allowed emissions from natural gas-fired engines and equipments at compressor stations, which help move gas from well sites into transmission pipelines, the DEP said.
