GOP Tells Pa. Gov. To Rebuke ACA Medicaid Expansion

Law360, New York (February 4, 2013, 5:15 PM EST) -- Republicans in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives on Monday called on Gov. Tom Corbett to reject the Affordable Care Act's Medicaid expansion, calling the provision a “budget buster” that would siphon money from other state priorities and institute subpar medical services.

Lawmakers said that as the U.S. economy continues its unsteady course, the state should focus on finding or creating a successful health care program instead of expanding Medicaid within the state, arguing the federal program hadn't met patient needs.
