W.Va. High Court Says Negligent Mine Inspectors Can Be Sued

Law360, New York (February 6, 2013, 2:48 PM EST) -- In a victory for the widows of two miners who died in a 2006 fire at a Massey Energy Co. subsidiary’s mine, the West Virginia Supreme Court on Tuesday ruled that government inspectors can be held accountable for negligence that results in wrongful death.
