Barr Challenges Boehringer On Mirapex Patents

Law360 (September 28, 2005, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Barr Pharmaceuticals Inc.’s plans to market a generic version of Parkinson’s disease drug Mirapex have prompted a lawsuit by drug originator Boehringer Ingelheim Pharmaceuticals Inc.

The lawsuit, filed in the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware, comes in response to Barr’s submission with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration of an Abbreviated New Drug Application to make a generic version of the drug.
