CAFE Deal Clears Path For House Vote On Energy Bill

Law360 (December 1, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- Democrats in Congress reached a historic truce late Friday when they agreed to a 40% increase in fuel economy standards, paving the way for a House vote this week on a hotly debated energy bill that, if signed into law, would mark the first increase in car fuel efficiency standards in the United States in 32 years.
