Rosetta Stone Faces Trade Secrets Suit Over Hire From Rival

Law360, Miami (February 11, 2013, 6:10 PM EST) -- Online language learning platform Open English on Wednesday sued a former employee and her new employer Rosetta Stone Ltd. Corp. in Miami for allegedly violating a noncompete clause in her contract and stealing trade secrets.

In a complaint filed in Florida's Eleventh Judicial Circuit Court, Open English said Nicole Wilson, who was hired in May 2012 as an academic director for the company, violated the noncompete clause of her employment agreement when she took a job as director of Rosetta Stone's online English learning program....
