Del. Chancery Court Shooting Leaves 3 Dead

Law360, Wilmington (February 11, 2013, 3:19 PM EST) -- A gunman opened fire early Monday at Delaware's New Castle County Courthouse, the seat of the state's Court of Chancery, killing two women and wounding two police officers before being shot and killed, according to a police spokesman.

Described only as a white male, the suspect entered the courthouse's vast lobby shortly after 8 a.m. and began shooting, and Capitol Police officers manning the metal detectors at the security checkpoint engaged and returned fire, Delaware State Police Sgt. Paul Shavack said.
