Holland & Hart Partner Settles Insider Trading Claims

Law360, New York (December 4, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission has settled claims against a former business attorney at Holland & Hart LLP who allegedly used confidential information from a Denver-based natural gas client to engage in insider trading.

The SEC on Monday filed a settled civil action in the U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado against James R. Belcher, a former partner who worked out of Holland & Hart's Cheyenne, Wyo. office. Belcher resigned from the firm in October in light of the regulatory agency's civil investigation...
