He serves as head of the firm's global antitrust/competition practice. Previously, he was the director of litigation at the Federal Trade Commission’s Bureau of Competition where he was in charge of its merger enforcement program until he left in 1994. Newborn has experience in high-technology, pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, health care, energy, raw materials, chemicals, defense and retailing.
