Australian Regulators Finalize Amcor's Immunity

Law360 (December 4, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- Australia's top competition watchdog has conferred unconditional immunity on Amcor Ltd., finding the company fully cooperated with regulators' investigation into an alleged cartel in the lucrative corrugated cardboard industry.

The action definitively places Amcor out of regulators' harm's way regarding the box cartel it allegedly established with Visy Holdings Ltd., and likely regarding the cartel's alleged extension into the bottle and can industry as well.
