Patent Term Adjustment Is Hiding In AIA Corrections Law

Law360, New York (February 19, 2013, 1:01 PM EST) -- On Jan. 14, 2013, President Obama signed into law H.R. 6621, which makes certain technical corrections to the America Invents Act. In particular, H.R. 6221 includes a number of amendments to 35 U.S.C. § 154(b), the patent term adjustment statute, that provide applicants with beneficial procedural changes and, in some cases, greater patent term adjustment.
