Consol's $1B Pittsburgh Airport Fracking Deal Clears Panel

Law360, Philadelphia (February 19, 2013, 9:49 PM EST) -- The Allegheny County Council on Tuesday approved a controversial contract granting Consol Energy Inc. the rights to drill for natural gas on nearly 10,000 acres at Pittsburgh International Airport in a $1 billion deal officials said could generate up to $500 million in new revenue for county government.
