Goodyear Sues Travelers For Asbestos Claims Coverage

Law360, Philadelphia (February 19, 2013, 7:44 PM EST) -- Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. has sued Travelers Casualty & Surety Co. over the insurer's refusal to provide future coverage for asbestos-related claims under policies issued in the 1960s and 1970s, according to a suit removed to Pennsylvania federal court Monday.

According to the suit originally filed in state court, Goodyear claims that the insurance giant breached its contract by backing out of its commitment to cover defense and indemnity costs beyond Jan. 28, 2013.
