CMS Chided Over Failure To Chase Medicaid Overpayments

Law360, New York (February 20, 2013, 4:32 PM EST) -- A government watchdog on Wednesday reproached the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services for dragging its feet on reclaiming nearly $226 million in Medicaid overpayments to states identified by the watchdog, saying the agency had ignored its statutory responsibility to chase the payments.
