Swartz Campbell's Law Firm Poaching Suit Can Proceed

Law360, Philadelphia (February 26, 2013, 3:29 PM EST) -- A Pennsylvania state judge on Monday largely rejected objections by Chartwell Law Offices LLP against Swartz Campbell LLC's lawsuit alleging Chartwell improperly poached employees, caused them to breach employment contracts and took over the firm's operations in Florida.

Judge Patricia McInerny of the Philadelphia County Court of Common Pleas refused to dismiss a tortious interference claim alleging Chartwell enticed former Swartz Campbell partner James Myers to breach his contract by closing a profitable Fort Myers, Fla., office and bringing his clients to the other firm.
