Supreme Court Takes Up Another Inadequate-Defense Case

Law360, New York (February 25, 2013, 9:08 PM EST) -- The U.S. Supreme Court on Monday agreed to hear an appeal from the state of Michigan challenging the Sixth Circuit’s reversal of a man’s murder conviction based on inadequate counsel, continuing the high court’s interest in questions surrounding ineffective assistance of counsel at the plea-bargaining stage.
