GCs Say IP Litigation Budgets Growing With Economy

Law360, New York (February 26, 2013, 12:03 AM EST) -- As the economy rebounds and the overall number of patent suits increases, many companies are bracing for an increase in their intellectual property litigation budget in the coming year, according to Fulbright & Jaworski LLP's 2013 litigation trends survey.

The survey of 392 in-house attorneys found that 13 percent of respondents are expecting to increase their IP litigation budget, while only 5 percent plan to spend less. The remainder said they expect to see their IP litigation spending hold steady.
