QBE Must Defend Funeral Home In Misplaced Graves Suit

Law360, New York (February 25, 2013, 4:52 PM EST) -- A federal judge on Friday said QBE Insurance Co. must defend an Alabama cemetery in litigation over the facility’s alleged failure to keep and maintain adequate records of the locations where people are buried.

Whispering Pines Cemetery in Eight Mile, Ala., along with a few funeral homes, is being sued by family members of deceased people whose graves were not locatable after their burial.
