Pa. Bill Would Create Incentives For Car Charging Stations

Law360, Philadelphia (February 28, 2013, 5:24 PM EST) -- A Pennsylvania state representative announced Tuesday that he was reintroducing legislation that would create a tax credit for gas stations that added electric vehicle charging stations.

House Bill 842, introduced by Rep. Mark Cohen, D-Philadelphia, would provide a credit of up to 50 percent of the total costs of building a station. The credit would be available to existing stations that sell gasoline, as long as they comply with all Pennsylvania tax obligations.
