Microsoft, ITC Push Fed. Circ. To OK Motorola Patent Ruling

Law360, New York (February 28, 2013, 4:09 PM EST) -- Microsoft Corp. and the U.S. International Trade Commission both urged the Federal Circuit on Wednesday to affirm the commission's decision that Motorola Mobility Inc.’s Android-based mobile devices infringe a smartphone patent held by Microsoft.

The company and the trade body filed similar briefs, each asking the appeals panel to back the ITC's determination that Microsoft's patent was neither anticipated nor obvious, as Motorola had argued it was.
