Aon Says Litchfield Brokered Subpar Policy For Contractors

Law360, New York (March 4, 2013, 1:53 PM EST) -- Aon Risk Services Northeast Inc. on Friday hit Litchfield Insurance Group Inc. with a lawsuit alleging Litchfield brokered an inadequate policy for contractors at a Connecticut gas-fired power plant, the site of a fatal explosion in 2010.

O&G Industries Inc., Kleen Energy Systems LLC and Keystone Construction and Maintenance Services Inc. sued Aon in May, alleging it brokered a faulty policy that left the contractors on the hook for defense costs in multiple wrongful death, personal injury and property damage lawsuits that resulted from the explosion....
