Judge Reopens Meridian Case To Review Vendor Deal

Law360, New York (December 11, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- A bankruptcy court has revived Meridian Automotive Systems Inc.’s Chapter 11 case in order to consider a settlement of an appeal by a vendor for the auto parts maker.

Judge Mary F. Walrath on Friday granted vendor Plastech Engineered Products Inc.’s motion to reopen Meridian’s case after the company emerged from bankruptcy protection in December 2006 for the limited purpose of examining a settlement between the two parties in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.
